{"id":28461,"date":"2026-02-16T22:01:46","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T22:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fundspaid2u.com\/?p=28461"},"modified":"2026-02-16T22:01:46","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T22:01:46","slug":"dollar-tree-opens-nearly-half-of-new-stores-in-affluent-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fundspaid2u.com\/?p=28461","title":{"rendered":"Dollar Tree opens nearly half of new stores in affluent areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><!----> <!----> <\/p>\n<div class=\"featured featured-video video-ct\">\n<div class=\"contain\">\n<div class=\"info\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Discount retailer\u00a0<u>Dollar Tree<\/u> is opening new stores in increasingly affluent areas as it seeks to attract higher-income customers who spend more at the store per trip, a new report finds.<\/p>\n<p>An analysis by\u00a0<u>Bloomberg News<\/u> found that 49% of new Dollar Tree stores opened in the last six years were located in wealthier parts of metro areas around the country, up from just 41% in the preceding six years.<\/p>\n<p>The share of new stores in ZIP codes with significantly higher incomes compared to the broader metro area rose to 19% in the last six years, up from 16% in the prior six years.
